1. Introduction
"Nihongo Quest" (the "App") is a Japanese language learning app operated by TrailFusion AI ("we," "us," or "the Developer"), designed for adults living in Japan (technical intern trainees, Specified Skilled Workers, long-term residents, and international students). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.
2. Information We Collect
The App may collect and store the following types of information:
- Learning progress data: answered questions, accuracy rate, study time, streaks, and mastery level for each unit.
- Display language setting: your chosen interface language (the App supports 9 languages: English, Vietnamese, Chinese, Tagalog, Nepali, Portuguese, Indonesian, Korean, and Thai).
- Profile data: if you use the multi-profile feature to share one device with family members or roommates, each profile's nickname, avatar, and learning data are stored separately on the device.
- Ranking data: if you choose to appear on the leaderboard, your chosen nickname and score are shown publicly. Your device generates a private secret key that is used only to verify that ranking updates come from your own device; this key is never shown publicly.
- Subscription and purchase status: whether you have an active subscription or one-time purchase, used to unlock premium features. Payment details (card numbers, etc.) are handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play and are never seen or stored by us.
- Usage and diagnostic data: app usage events and crash/error reports, collected via Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, to help us understand how the App is used and to fix bugs.
- Advertising identifiers: if you use the free, ad-supported version, Google AdMob may collect advertising identifiers and related technical information to serve and measure ads.
- Inquiry details: any information you provide when contacting us for support.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information above to: provide and save your learning progress; support the multi-profile feature so each user's data stays separate; operate the leaderboard/ranking feature; process and manage subscriptions and purchases; deliver and measure advertising; analyze usage to improve the App; investigate and fix crashes and bugs; and respond to your inquiries. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Multiple Profiles on One Device
Nihongo Quest allows one device to be shared by multiple people (for example, family members or roommates) through separate in-app profiles. Learning progress and settings are kept separate for each profile on the device. Subscription/purchase status and the device's advertising/analytics identifiers are shared across all profiles on the same device, since they belong to the device rather than to an individual profile.
5. Ranking (Leaderboard) Feature
The App includes an optional ranking feature that displays nicknames and scores. To prevent other users from tampering with your ranking entry, your device generates a private secret key which is used only for verification and is never displayed to other users. Please avoid entering your real name or other personally identifying information as your nickname.
6. Advertising, Analytics, and Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services: Google AdMob (to display advertisements in the free version), Firebase Analytics (to understand feature usage), and Firebase Crashlytics (to collect crash and error reports). These providers may collect device identifiers and usage data under their own privacy policies. In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to their respective privacy policies.
7. Data Retention and Security
We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the App's features described above. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Your Choices
You may choose not to participate in the ranking feature, request removal of your data from the leaderboard, delete a profile from the multi-profile feature, or uninstall the App at any time to stop all data collection by the App on that device. 9. Children's Privacy
Nihongo Quest is intended for adult learners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect once posted within the App or on this page, and the "Last Updated" date above will be revised accordingly.

1. はじめに
「Nihongo Quest」（以下「本アプリ」）は、TrailFusion AI（以下「当方」）が提供する、日本に住む外国人（技能実習・特定技能・定住者・留学生など）の成人向け日本語学習アプリです。本プライバシーポリシーは、本アプリが取得する情報、その利用方法、およびユーザーの選択肢について説明します。
2. 取得する情報
本アプリは、以下の情報を取得・保存する場合があります。
- 学習進捗データ：解答状況、正答率、学習時間、連続学習日数、単元ごとの習熟度
- 表示言語設定：選択した表示言語（本アプリは英語・ベトナム語・中国語・タガログ語・ネパール語・ポルトガル語・インドネシア語・韓国語・タイ語の9言語に対応）
- プロフィールデータ：家族やルームメイトなどと1台の端末を共有するマルチプロフィール機能を利用する場合、プロフィールごとのニックネーム・アバター・学習データを端末内で分けて保存します
- ランキングデータ：ランキング機能を利用する場合、選択したニックネームとスコアが公開されます。なりすまし防止のため端末固有の秘密鍵を発行しますが、この鍵自体が公開されることはありません
- 課金状態：サブスクリプションや買い切り課金の状態（プレミアム機能の解放判定に使用）。カード番号などの決済情報はApp Store／Google Playが取り扱い、当方は一切取得しません
- 利用状況・診断データ：Firebase AnalyticsおよびFirebase Crashlyticsによる利用状況・不具合（クラッシュ）情報
- 広告識別子：広告付きの無料版利用時、Google AdMobが広告配信・効果測定のために広告識別子等の技術情報を取得する場合があります
- お問い合わせ内容：サポートへの連絡時にご提供いただく情報
3. 利用目的
取得した情報は、学習進捗の保存、マルチプロフィール機能における各利用者データの分離管理、ランキング機能の提供、課金の管理、広告配信、利用状況の分析によるアプリ改善、不具合調査、お問い合わせ対応のために利用します。個人情報を第三者に販売することはありません。
4. 1台を複数人で使うマルチプロフィール機能
本アプリは、家族やルームメイトなど複数人が1台の端末をプロフィールを分けて利用できます。学習進捗・設定はプロフィールごとに端末内で分けて保存されます。一方、課金状態や広告・分析用の識別子は、個々のプロフィールではなく端末単位で共有されます。
5. ランキング機能
本アプリには、ニックネームとスコアを表示する任意のランキング機能があります。第三者による不正な書き換えを防ぐため、端末ごとに秘密鍵を発行して本人確認に利用しますが、この鍵自体が他者に公開されることはありません。ニックネームには本名など個人を特定できる情報を入力しないようご注意ください。
6. 広告・分析・外部サービス
本アプリは、Google AdMob（無料版での広告配信）、Firebase Analytics（機能利用状況の分析）、Firebase Crashlytics（クラッシュ・不具合情報の収集）を利用しています。これらのサービスは、各社のプライバシーポリシーに基づき端末識別子や利用状況データを取得する場合があります。アプリ内課金・サブスクリプションはApple App StoreまたはGoogle Playが処理し、各社のプライバシーポリシーが適用されます。
7. データの保存期間とセキュリティ
情報は、上記の目的のために必要な期間のみ保存します。不正アクセス・改ざん・漏えいを防ぐため合理的な技術的・組織的対策を講じていますが、通信・保存の方法に100%の安全性を保証するものではありません。
8. ユーザーの選択肢
ランキング機能への不参加、ランキングデータの削除依頼、マルチプロフィール機能でのプロフィール削除、アプリのアンインストール（該当端末での情報取得停止）が可能です。データに関するご依頼は、下記の連絡先までご連絡ください。
9. 子どものプライバシー
本アプリは成人の学習者を対象としており、13歳未満の子どもを対象としていません。当方は13歳未満の子どもの個人情報を意図的に収集することはありません。該当する情報の提供があったと思われる場合は、当方までご連絡ください。
10. 本ポリシーの変更
当方は、必要に応じて本プライバシーポリシーを変更することがあります。変更後の内容は、本アプリ内または本ページに掲載した時点で効力を生じ、上部の「最終更新日」を更新します。
